There’s nothing more satisfying than giving an old home another chance to shine. I love to renovate these homes thoughtfully and bring them a new state of beauty without compromising the integrity of the original layout.

This is exactly what I did with this turn of the century Victorian house in South Kensington (19122). Oh, what a grand history dwells in this house. In the early 1900s, this 3-story property was used as a boarding house for teachers. Then many years later, it was used as an artist studio, home, and workspace for two well-known artists in Philadelphia (that I now consider my good friends).

In my hands, this amazing triplex has been transformed with the original layout intact. The renovation of the interior units (approximately 1,860 square feet) and the common area cost about $30,000, a small price to pay for a property that needed a serious facelift. The biggest transformations happened in the kitchen and bathroom. In addition, the floors were updated with original hardwood overlays over the subfloors.

I am so gracious to be the one to own, restore, and love this home. Now it's time to rent the units and I am looking for someone to adore this amazing house as much as I do.
