Porco’s Porchetteria and Small Oven Pastry Shop

An award winning marriage of sweet and savory, Porco’s is a lovely one stop shop for some of the best roast pork sandwiches and pastries Philadelphia has to offer. Convenient takeout windows keep things running quickly out of this fairly new Washington Avenue business. Treat yourself to the “OG” sandwich and finish it off with their Dulce Shortbread. You’ll thank us later.

Community

The husband-and-wife team behind 33rd Street Hospitality catering and food truck opened Community in 2020. This cozy pub located at 21st and Federal has a surprisingly large menu with a focus on made-from-scratch food. Great for a solid burger, a happy hour snack or simply having a few cocktails with some local characters.

American Sardine Bar

Now a neighborhood staple, The American Sardine Bar arrived on the Point Breeze scene in 2011 and was immediately embraced as the shape of things to come for the area. From their quirky menu to a constantly rotating list of microbrews, The Sardine Bar at 18th and Federal is a great spot to meet up with old friends and new for any occasion.

Chick’s

Located at 18th and Washington, Chick’s is a large but simple, no-frills restaurant and bar open for lunch, dinner, late-night eats and weekend brunches. A lovely outdoor section, an expansive pizza menu, traditional pub fare and a versatile draft list make this a neighborhood must try for those that aren’t super adventurous eaters.
